Etna, Wines and Vineyards

This tour of Mount Etna takes us to discover the northern slope and its wines, in front of the Taormina coastline, where vineyards lying on sunny and breezy terraces represent one of the best examples of high-altitude Etna vineyards.

In this part of the volcano with a breathtaking view, the characteristics of the soil give the wine pleasant fruity aromas, hints of red fruits, strawberries, raspberries, and floral notes.

Tour Program

The Etna Wine Tour experience starts aboard our 4×4 jeeps or 9-seater vans. Along the way, which will take us to the north slope of Mount Etna, an expert guide will explain the stories and legends related to the Etna's villages and our volcano.

Once we reach the heart of Etna, we will get into the heart of our excursion. A light trek among pines and birches will lead us to discover lunar landscapes with endless lava fields that disappear into the horizon of the volcano.

We will walk on gigantic craters to reach their peaks and enjoy truly unique views. Equipped with torches and helmets, we will explore a fascinating volcanic cave to understand its formation, origins, and history.

Wine Tasting

After the excursion on the volcano, we will reach an ancient winery located at the foot of Mount Etna, the perfect conclusion to this journey to discover the treasures of Sicily.

The tasting menu includes: four glasses of current vintage wine, preserved vegetables in oil, typical Sicilian cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, cured meats, extra virgin olive oil, couscous with seasonal vegetables (during summer), legume soup (during winter), grilled sausage with salad, cannoli ricotta, still water, and bread.

We come to pick you up in your hotel or in the place you prefer (Taormina and surroundings - others on request).

Trekking/tennis shoes and clothing are suitable for the season (if we have trekking shoes, we will provide them for free).

Trekking poles, trekking shoes for those without, helmet and torch to enter the volcanic cave.
