Our quad tour in the Alcantara Gorges begins right at the entrance to the Alcantara Valley. From here we set off on an exciting off-road journey along dirt roads, countryside paths and natural trails surrounded by spectacular landscapes.

During the ride you will discover some of the most scenic areas of the Alcantara Valley, riding through muddy trails, small streams and rugged tracks with beautiful views at the foot of Mount Etna.

Along the route we will stop briefly to admire the famous Alcantara River and its impressive basalt rock formations, one of the most fascinating natural features of the valley. Each quad can carry one passenger in addition to the driver, and the tour runs every day of the year.

Alcantara Quad Tour – 2h 30m

A scenic ride along dirt tracks, small streams and beautiful landscapes of the Alcantara Valley leading to the famous Alcantara natural pools, known locally as the Gurne.

During the summer months we stop near the Alcantara Gorges, where those who wish can enjoy a refreshing swim in the natural pools of the Alcantara River.

During the colder months the route may instead include a ride up to the medieval village of Castiglione di Sicilia, from where you can admire beautiful views over the entire valley.

Etna Quad Adventure – 5h

🌋 From the Alcantara Valley to Mount Etna

Designed for those looking for a longer and more adventurous ride. Starting from the Alcantara Valley we pass through the village of Castiglione di Sicilia before climbing up to Piano Provenzana on Mount Etna (2000 metres above sea level), riding through off-road trails and volcanic landscapes.

The route passes through some of the most scenic areas of the Alcantara Valley including the Alcantara River, the famous natural Gurne pools and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the valley.

• Distance Taormina: 21 km (37 min).

• Distance Giardini Naxos: 15 km (23 min).

• Closest highway exit: Giardini Naxos. If you arrive via the highway, take the Giardini Naxos exit and follow the road towards Francavilla di Sicilia.
